Meet nance. . .

Nancy Rodriguez Rojas is a bicultural Designer and Maker based in the San Diego-Tijuana region.  Growing up between two contrasting scenes taught her to appreciate and to see the beauty in the most obsolete objects; which enabled her to collect inspiration for the jewelry she currently designs.  From one side of the border she is attached to the mystic vibes and legends found in the mines of Mexico as well as in the colors of Mexican culture. On the other side lays the modern and sophisticated ideals of design learned during her training in the United States.

Nancy completed a Bachelor in Arts with emphasis in Jewelry Design and Metalwork in 2014 from San Diego State University. Working as a Jewelry Production Designer for LeightWorks Jewelry in Point Loma, California, gave her the experience and motivation to start her own jewelry design brand under the name of Nance Handcrafted Jewelry. Recently, she was awarded with two full scholarships to attend Penland School of Crafts and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. Currently, she works at her studio located in Barrio Logan, San Diego.
